The high-end infotelematic systems integrate the following functions: entertainment (radio and CD), navigation, telematic services, telephony, connectivity, trip computer, diagnostics and HMI. The full multimedia platform can be equipped with an SDCH internal memory (4GB/8GB and 16GB) that can store a complete continental map and multimedia contents (jukebox function).
Compared to a standard CD player, the SDCH offers much a higher itinerary calculation speed. This platform integrates a 3D graphic processor with high performances for map display. The radio is equipped with triple tuner with phase diversity to ensure optimal signal reception under all conditions and provide traffic information via RDS-TMC. The system can interface an external digital or satellite radio. The Connectivity with external electronic devices is guaranteed by both the USB interface, which allows music to be listened to in multimedia format as well as complete control of iPodTM / iPhone TM, and by the Bluetooth® connection for the digital audio streaming (A2DP), hands-free telephone function and voice reading of text messages.
The user can manage all functions from the system keyboard, from the steering wheel controls or simply through the sophisticate voice recognition system. Connection to a video camera ensures assistance during parking manoeuvres. The system can be completed by a TFT display of various sizes and resolutions to adapt to the different automobile models.
