Magneti Marelli’s cooperation with the universities develops through joint research programmes, also thanks to the establishment of training internships within the company.
Two of Magneti Marelli’s main research centres, for example, are the result of the cooperation with institutions and universities: the Hortolandia research centre in Brazil, the most advanced centre in South America in the area of engine and vehicle applications, where the FlexFuel technology was developed, and the JRAUM, a space set aside for enterprise-university joint research within the facilities in Bologna, Venaria Reale and Amaro in Italy.
JRAUM stands for Joint Research Area University-Marelli. In this space, Magneti Marelli develops, in cooperation with the university, innovation topics pertaining to engines with low environmental impact, new-generation engine control units, technological transfer through on-the-job training of new human resources.
