Magneti Marelli’s cooperation with Universities develops through joint research programmes, also thanks to the activation of formative traineeships within the company’s structures.
Two of Magneti Marelli’s main research centres, for example, are the result of the cooperation with institutions and universities:
the Hortolandia research centre in Brazil, the most advanced of its kind in South America in the area of engine and vehicle applications, where the FlexFuel technology was developed, and the JRAUM, an area for company-University joint research within the Bologna headquarters.
In fact, JRAUM stands for Joint Research Area University-Marelli. In this space, Magneti Marelli Powertrain develops, in cooperation with the university, innovation issues related to low-environmental impact engines, electronic control units for the new-generation engine and “on the job” technological transfer through the training of new human resources.
