Anti Particulate Filter (FAP)

The active Diesel-Particulate Filter (DPF) is a device which reduces the polluting emissions caused by the thin dust of diesel engines.

The DPF system carries out a mechanical filtration by filters made in ceramic or metallic materials with varying porosity.

A peculiar feature of a system with a DPF filter is the need to regenerate the filter through the combustion as soon as the saturation of accumulated particulate is reached inside the filter itself.

The Magneti Marelli Exhaust Systems technology contemplates two technical solutions:

Converter with anti-particulate filter

The converter with anti-particulate filter in the engine compartment allows compliance with the particulate emission limits for diesel engines Euro 5/6 specifications.

All-in-one

The All-in-one solution allows to combine both the post-treatment system and the muffler into a single component.
