Cooperation Model |
JRAUM (Joint Research Area University Marelli) is a cooperation model between Industry and the Academic world, developed in 2004 within the Powertrain business line.
Today it is being extended to the entire Magneti Marelli company.
The reality of today’s automotive components markets is witnessing transition times between Innovation and development that are becoming shorter and shorter with each passing day.
Consequently, it is no longer feasible to think of developing a product with the usual logic of a supplier that proposes and a customer that accepts (or rejects).
The mechanism at the base of JRAUM overcomes this logic, since the set-up of the innovation phase is instead discussed in advance by these two entities.
The cooperation with departments of the various Universities constitutes the work area dedicated to the execution of the projects, with resources distributed in the various company sections or allocated in the JRAUM.
The management of the project is monitored by Tutors, who are operational in production areas, for the purpose of guaranteeing the desired product logic (Costs, Performances, etc.).
The partial or final results are evaluated by the Customer during the various development phases, and are distributed within the company during sharing sessions with Company Management.
This ensures that the projects have a successful outcome and that they are completed within the expected times.
