Fuel Rail

The main function is to convey fuel (gasoline, CNG, etc.) through the injection to the engine.

It is constituted by a pipe where the injectors sites protrude, brackets which are employed for fixing of the pipe on the intake manifold and a link for fuel input.

Gasoline Fuel-rail

The gasoline fuel rail con be produced in aluminium (so far not very often used), in plastic material (P A66) or in stainless steel and the type is chosen depending on the production expectation and on the type of fuel employed.

Operation pressure is obtained and maintained by a pressure regulator that can be either on the rail itself or on the fuel pump.

In the first case it is absolutely essential to have a piping linking site for recirculation, in the second case the pressure valve is essential in order to execute the rail emptying (in case of  disassembling procedure) and to test the operation pressure.

CNG Fuel-rail

The CNG Fuel-rail is produced in stainless steel because of the operation pressure.

It is constituted by a rounded or squared section draw piece, the injectors sites, intake manifold brackets, the fuel input hub and the temperature and pressure sensor hub.

All details assemblage is performed by a copper-alloy braze welding.
