The cylinder sleeves are used as a guide for the piston segments during the linear movement of the engine piston.

 

During operation, the cylinder sleeves hold an oil film on the surface to guarantee the best lubrication of the components.

 

The transmission of heat coming from the combustion and from the piston segments friction to the cooling system is one of the main functions carried out by the sleeves.

 

The range includes three basic types: self-lubricated (from centrifuge process), dry (from centrifuge process) and Air Cooled Cylinder (from shell moulding process).

 

Small castings, produced by the shell moulding process, complete the product range.
