From its birth until today, Suspension Systems has undergone several transformations.
It was created in 1999, as a Magneti Marelli Business Line, from the spin-off of FIAT AUTO's suspensions design and production areas.
Within four years of its founding, it became supplier of complete suspension systems.
In October of 2003, it joined Cofap Ammortizzatori, the Magneti Marelli Business Line set up in 1997 for the acquisition on foreign markets and considered leader in the Mercosur area for the supply of original equipment components and spare parts.
In October of 2007, as part of the constant search for improvement opportunities, Suspension Systems was split into three business lines: Suspensions, Cofap Shock absorbers and Dynamic Systems (electronically controlled shock absorbers), thus grouping the company by project and creating a High-Tech area in a sector historically tied to mechanical components.
