JRAUM (Joint Research Area University Marelli, but also RAUM as the german word for space) is a cooperation model between Industry and the Academic world successfully established by Magneti Marelli in its Venaria, Bologna and Amaro centres, and born from the awareness that the cooperation between industry and University is essential to develop competitive solutions for the mobility and the automotive market. Gathering the cooperation between the company and the university in a precise physical space to train a new generation of automotive technicians is the aim of the JRAUM.

Magneti Marelli has cooperation agreements with Institutions and Universities in several countries, among these are Brasil (where there is the most advanced South American research centre for the engine and vehicle area, and where has been developed the Flex-Fuel technology), and China, where there is an agreement with the University of Tongji, Shanghai.
