BMW Group will consolidate its electrified sales in Malaysia
The local division of the BMW Group plans to strengthen the sales volumes of electrified cars in Malaysia to ride the wave of the growing success of these alternative fuels in the emerging Southeast Asian market.
Already at the end of the first half, the Bavarian carmaker's sales of plug-in models have recorded a substantial growth in the Country of about 3,200 units, which represent 56% of its total in Malaysia where yesterday the company unveiled for the first time in the region the Concept X7 iPerformance which anticipates the imminent debut of the new X7.
The colossus of Monaco, also thanks to the contribution of the MINI brand, closed the first half in Malaysia with sales increasing by 11% to a total of 5,300 vehicles.
Worldwide, the BMW Group's target is confirmed to 140 thousand battery-powered cars by the end of the year.
