BMW opens new R&D centre in China
BMW, in collaboration with its famous local partner Brilliance Automotive, has inaugurated a new research and development center in China, in Liaoning Province, the largest outside of Germany.
The building is located on an area of over 40 thousand square meters and represents an extension of the original one built five years ago.
The center employs 800 people, 75% of which are Chinese, and it will be specialized in the development of unprecedented technologies in the name of industry 4.0.
China has become the world's largest market for the Bavarian colossus.
