FCA and GAC restructure China JVs
FCA and Guangzhou Automobile Group have jointly announced changes to the organisational structure and leadership of their joint ventures in China. The changes affect GAC Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Company and GAC FCA Sales and are effective on May 1, 2019.
Both joint ventures will be operated jointly as a single overall JV led by executives from both shareholder companies. Further, the corporate functions of the two companies will be consolidated.
FCA said the new streamlined governance will accelerate the integration of industrial and commercial operations, meaning more rapid response to changes in the Chinese market environment and the delivery of even more competitive products and services to its customers.
Massimiliano Trantini is appointed as President of Chinese distribution company GAC FCA Sales, the company said in a statement.
