Green light for PSA investments at the Slovakia factory
The Bratislava government officially approved the PSA Group's plan of 165 million euros investments to further expand the Trnava plant, located in the western part of the country.
These are five-year investments that will enable PSA to increase production rhythms at the factory and to create more 420 jobs by the end of 2018, bringing the total staff to more than 4,000 employees.
Already for 2017, the French Group has been working to improve assembly activities from 315,500 units in 2016 to some 350,000 divided between Citroën C3 and Peugeot 208.
Slovak production exceeds one million units a year thanks to the other Volkswagen Group's plants (in Bratislava) and Kia factories (in Zilina), expecting to grow further by leveraging the 2018 launch of the first Jaguar Land Rover plant.
