Mercedes opens Thai parts distribution centre
Mercedes-Benz has opened a new parts distribution centre in Thailand.
The new centre in the outskirts of Bangkok will help Mercedes to improve deliveries of aftermarket parts across country.
Mercedes-Benz Thailand, the local subsidiary of the German luxury automaker, has 32 service centres across the Thailand. There are also numerous independent service outlets that provide aftermarket services for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
The new facility occupies at 45,000 square metre area on the site where the company's vehicle preparation centre was previously located, of which 13,000 sq m is for parts storage, with the remainder used for training and for a flagship service centre.
The company sold a total of 14,400 light passenger vehicles in Thailand in 2018, almost 13% more than the 12,800 units it sold in 2017.
