New Toyota offensive in China with EVs and a compact SUV
Toyota prepares a new offensive in China to boost sales volumes in the world's leading market.
From the stands of the Guangzhou Motor Show, the Japanese carmaker has announced that it will market in the country a new family of electric vehicles to be developed along with its local joint ventures.
But first, by mid 2018, the offensive will materialize with the production of a compact SUV based on the Way prototype, second model made on the TNGA platform.
The SUV will be assembled by both Toyota joint ventures that will distribute it under different denominations: CH-R by Gac-Toyota and Izoa by Faw-Toyota.
