Nissan to launch 3 new EV models in Japan by 2022
Nissan has announced that within the fiscal year 2022/23 will launch in Japan three new electric cars and five new hybrids model as part of the already anticipated electrified offensive of the entire Japanese Group.
The goal for March 31, 2023 is to increase the share of battery-powered cars in the domestic market to 40%, to then reach 50% by 2025.
Currently, Nissan's electric range in the Rising Sun country is articulated on the best-seller Leaf and some offers in the light commercial vehicle sector.
On a general level, the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance target is to increase global sales volumes to 14 million units by the year 2022/23.
