Subaru: sold in the US one million cars with the EyeSight technology
Subaru America has so far sold over one million vehicles equipped with EyeSight driver assistance technology, including pre-collision braking, throttle management and cruise control and lane keeping controls.
In 2018 EyeSight received the highest accident prevention score from the US Institute of Road Safety IIHS.
Thanks to the two color cameras developed by Subaru mounted behind the windscreen, EyeSight is able to identify vehicles traveling in front, traffic lanes, obstacles and pedestrians.
This year, the system helped reduce the number of compensation claims related to the 41% pedestrian hit according to the American Highway Loss Data Institute.
Introduced in 2012 EyeSight is available on the entire Subaru range with the exception of the BRZ.
