Baojun launches its second 2-seat EV across China
SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile, General Motors’ light-vehicle partnership with SAIC Motor Corp., made its two-seat full electric vehicle available for car shoppers across China.
The Baojun E200 features more than 200 upgrades compared to the E100, including a longer range, a new exterior and interior design, and improvements for in-cabin quietness.
The EV has a constant-speed range of up to 270 kilometers on a single charge, enabling it to meet the needs of daily commuting in Chinese urban areas. The battery system has increased density, allowing it to store more energy with the same volume.
The two-seat E200 has an agile and futuristic look. To meet the needs of users, it has 11 storage spaces, including slots in the armrests, special hooks, card slots and a concealed space in the passenger seat. The back of the passenger seat can be folded forward to provide room for large items.
The remote interactive system in the E200 provides users information on charging and parking navigation, power supply, vehicle inspection and more.
The Baojun E200 went on sale in September 2018 in the southwest China city of Liuzhou where SAIC-GM-Wuling is based. It was previously only sold in Liuzhou and a small number of other cities in China.
