Continental and Michelin plan tyre making JV
Continental and Michelin plan a tyre making joint venture, according to a list of mergers under review published by the German antitrust authority.
The venture, in which French software firm SMAG is also listed as a partner, would be based in Singapore.
Continental is struggling with a company restructures in the face of what Ceo Elmar Degenhardt last week called a global industry crisis.
Continental has said it may shut plants as part of its restructuring, that involves splitting company into three divisions: Powertrain, Rubber and Automotive.
